One could logically question Blizzard on the timing of their latest announcement that sent forum geeks in a frenzy. One thing you can't question is to why, or can you? This day marks a day in history for thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, of WoW subscribers that were lead to believe would never happen. Today is the day that Blizzard opened the gates of transfers from PVE (Player V. Environment) to PVP (Player V. Player) servers. So one might assume that Blizzard decided to let those who yearned for this option, yours truly included, because the competition is close to release date. Or perhaps they did it for the love of money; only the big wigs know for sure.
I'm a professed WoW forum geek while I'm on the clock at work; boring jobs with internet access rule! So I ran out of my "office" to inform a fellow WoW Crafter about the sure-to-be-the-apocalypse-in-disguise news. We quickly formulated a plan for which characters would be lucky gankers or gankees. For me, Blizzard will be collecting $100 for 4 level 70 characters to go back to the server I started this game on, Laughing Skull. Is it really worth it? Are you fucking high man, of course it's fucking worth it! I can now make up for the biggest mistake I've ever made in my WoW *cough* career.
With the Wrath expansion on the horizon this is going to be one helluva ride entering Northrend as a killable player to the pesky Alliance, and they are my prey. No more safely being able to quest or grind without risk of death, to be honest all immersion was lost on the PVE server I populate.
Now I anxiously await quitting time at the old J-O-B so I can prepare for the transfers. W00T
