So You Say You Like Avatars?

In the Fall update of Xbox Live, Microsoft will be introducing Avatars. I didn't really give a shit about this enough to do research but maybe Major Nelson can shed some light on this. It's an avatar, I mean what more do you need to know?

Let's Stumble

One of my most favorite things about Firefox is the StumbleUpon add-on. What's StumbleUpon you ask?

StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more.

Basically, you check boxes that coincide with your interests and when you click the Stumble button it randomly selects something you might be interested in. This works best for me when I'm bored at work and don't feel like contributing to the multiple forums I frequent.

So here is the first thing that StumbleUpon is going to contribute to the blog, I present you ....

The Lich King Predicts His Wrath

Blizzard announced today, Wrath of the Lich King, their highly anticipated expansion will hit stores with a violently cold chill on November 13.

In the frozen wastes of the north, the Lich King Arthas Menethil rallies his undead army and schemes to bring an end to all life on Azeroth -- and in a couple of months, you'll begin your epic journey into Northrend to confront the Lich King and his minions yourself. Blizzard Entertainment's second expansion to World of Warcraft -- Wrath of the Lich King -- will be in stores on November 13 in North America.

From a personal side I've got one piece of unfinished business before Wrath, 2 more levels for my Troll Mage. Preparing to embark upon Blade's Edge Mountains and if the previous pattern holds, she will hit 70 in BEM. After my mage reaches the level cap I'm not sure what's left for me until Wrath, I suppose I could work on my undead rogue.

Wrath will be introducing WoW's first hero class, the Deathknight, that has one pre-req: You must have a level 55 character on that server. For more information on DK's check out the WoWWiki page. Along with a barbershop, Inscription (profession), a new level cap of 80, and the introduction of Northrend, WotLK offers more of the same that made WoW the most popular MMO to date and many improvements that will be sure to please.

Burnout Kickstarts Another Patch on the 18th.

According to Gamespot, click the title for more information, Criterion will be rolling out the motorcycles this Thursday.

The appropriately titled Bikes Pack--formerly known as Davis--will include two motorcycles suitable for tooling around the city, along with the option of male or female riders. The bikes won't be the only new additions, as Criterion is also adding a motorcycle license progression, day-night cycles, changing weather, 70 new Freeburn challenges, and more.

The update will be free and available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Operation: Money Making

One could logically question Blizzard on the timing of their latest announcement that sent forum geeks in a frenzy. One thing you can't question is to why, or can you? This day marks a day in history for thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, of WoW subscribers that were lead to believe would never happen. Today is the day that Blizzard opened the gates of transfers from PVE (Player V. Environment) to PVP (Player V. Player) servers. So one might assume that Blizzard decided to let those who yearned for this option, yours truly included, because the competition is close to release date. Or perhaps they did it for the love of money; only the big wigs know for sure.

I'm a professed WoW forum geek while I'm on the clock at work; boring jobs with internet access rule! So I ran out of my "office" to inform a fellow WoW Crafter about the sure-to-be-the-apocalypse-in-disguise news. We quickly formulated a plan for which characters would be lucky gankers or gankees. For me, Blizzard will be collecting $100 for 4 level 70 characters to go back to the server I started this game on, Laughing Skull. Is it really worth it? Are you fucking high man, of course it's fucking worth it! I can now make up for the biggest mistake I've ever made in my WoW *cough* career.

With the Wrath expansion on the horizon this is going to be one helluva ride entering Northrend as a killable player to the pesky Alliance, and they are my prey. No more safely being able to quest or grind without risk of death, to be honest all immersion was lost on the PVE server I populate.

Now I anxiously await quitting time at the old J-O-B so I can prepare for the transfers. W00T

Saints Row 2 - Playstation 3/Xbox 360

When GTAIV came out and I had heard about Saints Row 2 coming out later this year I thought; you know what, fuck SR2. But lately I've been kind of leaning towards picking up the sequel. World of Warcraft has pretty much taken up all my time but when I need to get away I have the Wii and 360 to lean on. Logically it wouldn't be wise for me buy new games when I know I'm not going to sink a lot of time into them, but I MUST HAVE THEM.

Anyways, the new video feed is some in-game footage from Saints Row 2 as well as an introduction, so to speak. Enjoy! The release date is October 14 of this year.

Skate It - Wii

Take a quick peek at a demonstration for the balance board and how will it work.

I grew out of the skateboarding genre back at TH2. This kinda looks cool.
