Hunt for Rock Band Expert - Guitar

I'll be the first to admit that I am not very good at Rock Band or the Guitar Hero series. I just really enjoy pretending to be famous and I love music. I can feel my fingers cringing already.

...and it shall be written

My quest to complete Rock Band on Expert starts soon. Catch the live feed (11pm) or the videos at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/random-encounters

Spiderwick Chronicles Demo

Spiderwick Chronicles is an action, single player game based on the movie and book of the same title. First things first, I am not well versed on the story of this game. In the demo you can play as Jared or Thimbletack, I chose the latter. Thimbletack is a brownie, which according to Wikipedia is a legendary and popular character in Scottish and English folklore.

As Thimbletack, you are able to throw pins at creatures that you encounter throughout the world. The demo starts off with Thimbletack in search of a magical ring within the walls of a house. You will jump gaps, climb electrical cords, and scale up walls with the help of a playing card ramp. The control scheme is somewhat simple, you aren't required to hit a button to jump but the targeting system feels a little broken. If you lose your way which embarrassingly enough, happened often to me, there are arrows to show you the path.

The demo runs around 8 minutes or whenever you locate the magic ring. Spiderwick Chronicles, rated E+10, is currently out in stores and available for PC, Playstation 2, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360. The demo is available for download through the Live Marketplace. As I reach to find my inner child and basing the demo rating on that, I'd give it a 3/5. If you have younger family members that enjoyed the movie/book it's probably a safe bet they would enjoy this game.
